Atlantic City's highlight is its Boardwalk, which can be explored on foot or by bicycle. Another way of seeing the Boardwalk is in the legendary rolling chair, which resembles a huge wicker chair on wheels. Pushed by an attendant, the chairs seat up to three people. The Atlantic City Famous Rolling Chair Co. can be found at 1605 Boardwalk, near Kentucky Avenue.
The chairs operate Sun.-Thurs. 9 a.m.-2 a.m., Fri.-Sat. 9 a.m.-5 a.m., Memorial Day to mid-Sept.; Sun.-Thurs. 9 a.m.-10 p.m., Fri.-Sat. 9 a.m.-2 a.m., Feb. 1-day before Memorial Day and mid-Sept. to mid-Dec.; Sun.-Thurs. 9 a.m.-10 p.m., Fri.-Sat. 9 a.m.-midnight, rest of year (9 a.m.-6 a.m. on Dec. 31). The fare is $5 for 6 blocks and fewer, $10 for 7-13 blocks, $20 per half-hour and $35 per hour for two people. Phone (609) 347-7148.
