About Wildwood

Rarely are the three communities that constitute this popular shore resort referred to in other than the plural. Although the Wildwoods—Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and North Wildwood—are separate entities, their boundaries are indistinguishable. Together they occupy the southernmost isle just north of Cape May.

Because the surf line lies as far as 1,000 feet from shore, the Wildwoods' beach is one of the safest in the state. The 2.5-mile-long boardwalk includes five amusement piers and a variety of shops.
